2024 Park Sharks Swim Team

Park Sharks of the Early 2000s

Our season is planned to start around Early/Mid May and will run through Mid July! 

Registration for ALL Swimmers is NOW OPEN!!!

Register by May 15 to ensure your swimmer's name is on the team T-shirt!

Park Foothills Community Pool Members:$250

Non-Pool Members:$325

*Does Not include AAU Membership Fees ($22 per swimmer)

Fees include:  3 weeks of pre-season practice, 7 weeks of practice, 6 swim meets, uniform (team t-shirt, suit, & swim cap), end of year banquet & awards, and coaching fees. Once school is out, practices will take place duirng weekday mornings.

Park Sharks Team Groups

The overall goal of the program is to develop competitive and proficient swimmers while having a great time!! However, each group has guidelines for appropriateness as well as goal to attain before getting approved to the next group.

 

Beginners/Baby Sharks
o Must not require coaxing to get into the water
o Must be able to swim 5-10 feet without physical assistance
o Must follow coach instructions to coach's discretion
o Limited spots to coach's discretion
o Goal is to be able to swim a full 25 yd at a swim meet

 

Intermediate
o Must be able to swim across the full length of the pool without floatation device
o Must demonstrate maturity to begin learning appropriate technique for strokes
o Goal will be to be able to learn all 4 strokes, demonstrate appropriate diving
technique, and learn a flip turn

               o Intermediate goal may take multiple seasons due to age, maturity, and
                  readiness to advance

 

Advanced
o Must be able to complete a flip turn without disqualification
o Must know all 4 strokes
o Goal will be to continue to master stroke and diving techniques as well as build
endurance
